The Men’s Center, Chair, EJP Community Board
Leon is the Director of the Men’s Center and is an insightful and outspoken community leader. His tenure with the Men’s Center has brought heightened awareness of men’s health by providing new resources that begin to address them. His leadership has built much collaboration that have proven highly beneficial from his work with programs such as mentoring, food pantries, lead paint prevention, community safety, and youth development. The Men’s Center also offers free AIDS testing and free health screenings for men. Even in these times of economic uncertainty Leon challenges those in positions of power to support the issues that are the foundation for building a stronger quality of life for the men, women, children, and families in East Baltimore.
